What the Flowers Said in Eudora, KS

When I go on a walk alone, I listen.  Not to mindless music through a set of headphone -- I try to see and hear what is around me.  I've been deeply touched by the life of 3 plants. 

The Lone Zinnia

This pretty zinnia is alongside a sidewalk, in the lawn, next to a trash can. 

Here are the zinnias other friends and family on the other side of the sidewalk:

Step away from the crowd and Bloom

Next, I was walking down a side street and saw this pretty blue weed growing in a crack in the pavement:

The picture certainly doesn't do it justice.  Here's where it was growing
(in the middle of the picture) in the asphalt on a brutally hot Kansas day
in danger of being run over.

Fear Not; Bloom where you are planted.

Last, but certainly not least, was the trumpet vine splendidly rising
above all to feed the hummingbirds.

How is the world did that plant get up there? 
Further investigation revealed a thin branch trailing up the pipe in the post.

These 3 plants were not just blooming, but Thriving. 

Today, don't just bloom where you are planted, but Thrive!
